Abstract

The study will explore the coping mechanisms employed by youths in response to climate change-related challenges. This includes adaptive strategies, such as seeking social support, engaging in community resilience activities, and utilizing mental health resources, as well as maladaptive behaviors, such as substance abuse or avoidance. By delineating the scope of the study along these dimensions, this research aims to generate nuanced understandings of the complex interplay between climate change and mental health among youths in Phalga, with implications for policy, practice, and future research endeavors in Nigeria.
