Abstract

These studies represent important contributions to our understanding of the linkages between climate change and mental health in Nigeria. However, further research is needed to fully elucidate the complex interactions between environmental stressors, social determinants, and mental well-being in the Nigerian context. Continued research efforts and interdisciplinary collaborations are essential for developing effective strategies to address climate-related mental health challenges and promote resilience in Nigeria and beyond. Overall, youth resilience is cultivated through a combination of individual, interpersonal, and community-level factors that support young people in adapting to and thriving in the face of environmental challenges. By investing in youth resilience-building efforts and creating supportive environments, societies can empower young people to become resilient leaders and change agents in building a more sustainable and resilient future for themselves and future generations. The present paper is on youth perspectives on climate change and mental health; challenges and opportunities.
