Abstract

Addressing the mental health impacts of climate change requires a multi-faceted approach that integrates mental health considerations into climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies. This includes increasing awareness and education about the mental health impacts of climate change, strengthening mental health systems and services, promoting resilience-building and coping strategies, and addressing the root causes of climate change to prevent further harm to mental well-being. By prioritizing mental health in climate action efforts, societies can better support the resilience and well-being of individuals and communities in the face of environmental challenges. By understanding the diverse ways in which climate change affects the mental health of youth, stakeholders can develop targeted interventions, resilience-building strategies, and policy measures to address these complex challenges and promote the mental well-being of future generations in a changing climate.
