Ethical Code for Authors Submitting to IJR (International Journal of Research)

The International Journal of Research (IJR) upholds the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and responsibility in the submission and publication process. Authors submitting papers to the IJR must adhere to the following ethical guidelines to ensure the credibility and reliability of the scholarly work published in the journal.

1. Originality and Plagiarism

  • Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been previously published elsewhere, either in full or in part, without appropriate citation.
  • Submissions must be free from plagiarism. Authors should properly attribute ideas, data, or text from other sources.
  • Any previously published materials (e.g., figures, tables, or excerpts) included in the manuscript must have proper citation and permission where necessary.

2. Authorship and Contribution

  • All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript should be listed as authors.
  • Authors must ensure that all contributors are appropriately credited and that no one is omitted or falsely included.
  • Authors should clearly outline their individual contributions to the research, such as study design, data collection, data analysis, and writing.

3. Conflict of Interest

  • Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence or be perceived to influence the research outcomes or interpretation of results.
  • Conflicts of interest can include financial, professional, or personal relationships that could bias the work, such as funding from organizations or close personal relationships with people involved in the research.

4. Research Integrity

  • Authors must ensure the accuracy of data presented in the paper. Any errors or inaccuracies should be promptly corrected.
  • The research should be conducted in accordance with accepted ethical standards, including obtaining necessary approvals (e.g., from ethical review boards, if applicable).
  • Fabrication or falsification of data is strictly prohibited.

5. Human and Animal Rights

  • If the research involves human subjects, authors must ensure that informed consent was obtained from participants and that the research complies with relevant ethical guidelines and laws.
  • If the research involves animals, authors should adhere to ethical standards for animal research and ensure that the study complies with appropriate welfare guidelines and regulations.

6. Data Availability and Transparency

  • Authors should ensure that their research data is available for review by editors, reviewers, or others, as applicable.
  • Where appropriate, authors should provide access to datasets, protocols, and other supplementary materials used in the research, ensuring transparency and reproducibility.

7. Multiple Submissions

  • Authors must not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals concurrently. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals is considered unethical and may lead to retraction or rejection of the manuscript.
  • If the paper has been submitted or published in another journal, authors must disclose this information during the submission process.

8. Peer Review Process

9. Corrections and Retractions

  • Authors must cooperate with the journal in investigating any allegations of research misconduct.

10. Publication Ethics

  • Authors should adhere to the ethical standards and publication policies of IJR, including the journal's stance on publication ethics, open access, and licensing.
  • Authors must respect the editorial decision of the journal and understand that publication is contingent on rigorous peer review and editorial assessment.
