Factors Influencing Armed Banditry in Kebbi State Nigera

Abstract

Banditry is one of the major forms of insecurity that affected kebbi Stae for the past decade. Banditry has affected all facet of human life among which is food security in the state affected . The objective of the article is to explain the impact of banditry on food security and highlight the recent effort of the government in tackling banditry to improve food security among others. The methodology to be adopted to generate data for the study is through the use of focus group discussion, questionnaire, and in depth interview of persons by bandits which are sampled for the study. The study will adopt both Qualitative and quantitative methods of Data analyses. Finally, it will conclude that armed banditry is a menace prevalent across the state, which needs to be addressed. It will equally proffer solutions  for curtailing armed banditry in  Kebbi state,Nigeria.
