Cooperative Teaching Approach as a Means to Improve the Understanding of Form Two Science Students in the Concept of the Human Digestive System
Abstract
The study was to improve students’ understanding in human digestive system using Cooperative Teaching Approach in Siddiq Senior High School in Agona Nyarkrom in the Central Region of the Republic of Ghana. The major research design adopted for this research was Action Research Design which made use of a Case Study at Siddiq Senior High School. The accessible population of the study was made up of all the 35 second year students of the Science class who make up 5.83% of the school’s population. Out of the 35 students, 25 representing 71.43% of the class were boys whilst the remaining 10 representing 28.57% were girls. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Class Test was the main instrument for the data collection.
