Chinese Language
Abstract
Being one of the oldest languages of world, Chinese language has a rich history. It has its own characteristics which are quite unique as compared to most of the other languages. Unlike the alphabetical Western and other Indo-European languages, Chinese language is a logographic writing system that makes use of symbols known as characters. An attempt has been made in this paper to gauge the major characteristics of the Chinese language. It also traces the history of the language succinctly.
