Abstract

Physical education (PE) has garnered increasing attention due to its potential cognitive and developmental advantages, despite the fact that academic performance remains a primary concern in higher education. The objective of this investigation is to investigate the degree to which students' academic performance, specifically their Grade Point Average (GPA), is influenced by their participation in university physical education programs. A quantitative research design was implemented, which involved 100 first- and second-year undergraduate students from a public university. Students were divided into three categories according to their level of physical activity participation: low, moderate and high. GPA data were obtained from institutional records.
