Management Strategies Adopted by Head-Teachers for Quality Assurance in Public Primary Schools in Anambra State
Abstract
The study investigated management strategies adopted by head teachers for quality assurance in public primary schools in Anambra State. Three research questions were formulated to guide the study and three hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. Descriptive survey design was adopted. From a population of 6,648 primary school teachers and 1068 head teachers, a sample of 1050 teachers and 525 head teachers was drawn using simple random sampling technique. A 23 item instrument titled “Strategies for Quality Assurance Questionnaire (SQAQ)” was used for data collection. The instrument was structured on a 4 rating scale of strongly Agreed (SA), Agreed (A), Disagreed (D), and Strongly Disagreed (SD) weighed 4, 3, 2 and 1 respectively.
