Abstract

The foundation for individuals to improve their lives, achieve their aspirations, and give them into society is education. The Philippine government has acknowledged the importance of education and established it as a legal entitlement. To ensure that students can access education and junior high school courses for Grades 7, 8, 9, and 10, the Department of Education has therefore created many cohesive educational institutions in remote areas. The various challenges faced by junior high school students at St. Paul University Surigao while studying Araling Panlipunan are analyzed in this research. Descriptive approaches were utilized in this research to collect systematic information from demographic, situation, and phenomena. The questionnaire was filled out by 200 respondents. Upon analyzing by gender, statistical evaluations uncovered significant differences in students' interest levels and the quality of resources and teaching materials, indicating that male and female students experience these factors differently.
