Macro Environmental Factors and Entrepreneurial Interest of Business Education Undergraduates in Higher Institutions in Anambra State

Abstract

The study examined the extent to which macro environmental factors influence entrepreneurial interest of business education undergraduates in higher institutions in Anambra state, Nigeria. The study made use of the descriptive survey research design. The population of the study is 411 final year Business Education undergraduates comprising of 131 Business Education undergraduates in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka (NAU), 101 Business Education undergraduates in Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam (COOU), 98 Business Education undergraduates in Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN) and 81 undergraduates in Federal College of Education (Tech), Umunze (FCETU). Census sampling was used, thus, the entire population of 411 business education undergraduates were used for the study. A researcher developed instrument titled ‘Macro Environmental Factors and Entrepreneurial Interest Questionnaire (MEFEIQ) was used for data collection. The instrument was validated by three experts from the Faculty of Education, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
