Role of SIDBI in Financing Small Scale Industries in Jaipur

Abstract

This study explores the pivotal role played by the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) in the financing and development of Small Scale Industries (SSIs) in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The objective is to evaluate SIDBI's financial interventions, schemes, and support mechanisms aimed at nurturing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in a regionally focused context. The research adopts a secondary data-based analytical approach, utilizing existing reports, policy documents, SIDBI’s official publications, Reserve Bank of India data, industry white papers, and academic literature. The study finds that SIDBI has acted as a catalytic institution in facilitating credit access and promoting entrepreneurship in Jaipur’s SSI sector.
