Abstract

This study assesses the effectiveness of student program objectives in the College of Hospitality Management at the University of Cebu Main Campus for the academic year 2023-2024. The evaluation is based on survey responses from 128 participants, covering various aspects of the college’s educational programs. The findings indicate a generally positive perception of the college’s effectiveness in areas such as research engagement, communication skills, management functions, and practical business applications. A significant majority of respondents believe that the college is successful in preparing students for diverse professional environments and staying current with industry developments. However, there is a notable area for improvement in teaching the preservation and promotion of Filipino historical and cultural heritage. The demographic data shows a balanced representation of gender and a diverse range of academic progression among respondents. Overall, the study concludes that the college is well-regarded for its efforts in providing relevant and up-to-date education in hospitality and tourism, with recommendations for enhancing cultural education, practical training, research opportunities, risk management education, and communication skills training.
