Abstract

In this increasingly fiercely competitive era of business, Supply Chain Management has emerged as a vital strategic tool in competitive advantage realization. This study explores the strategic role of SCM in improving operational efficiency, cost reduction, and responsiveness to market dynamics. It examines past studies and analyzes case studies in different industries, including comparative studies between two of the world's fast-food giants, McDonald's and KFC, to identify SCM practices that result in high performance. The findings indicate that integration of technology, supplier relationships, and logistics systems that can quickly adapt to changes are the core in developing sustainable competitive advantages. This study emphasizes the need for the implementation of SCM strategies in regard to specific industrial requirements for long-term success.
