Abstract

Demography studies the trends and processes associated with the population. The importance of demography lies in its contribution in helping government and society as a means of analyzing and predicting social, cultural and economic trends related to population. In policy making, understanding the demographic profile and population helps in framing the right policies which would be in favour of the masses. In this backdrop, the present study focused on demographic profile two states viz. Gujarat and Goa.
