Abstract

The global energy landscape is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by the need to address climate change, energy poverty, and sustainable development. As the world transitions away from fossil fuels towards renewable energy sources, it is essential to consider the social and economic implications of this shift, particularly for communities that have been historically dependent on fossil fuel production. This paper focuses on fostering gender-just energy transitions in fossil fuel producing communities, highlighting the importance of considering gender equality and social justice in the transition process.
