Abstract

India, with its diverse geography and climate, is highly susceptible to a variety of natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, cyclones, droughts, and landslides. These disasters pose significant threats to human life, infrastructure, and the economy. This paper explores the necessity of an effective natural disaster management framework in India, highlighting the country's vulnerability, existing challenges, and the importance of proactive measures for mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
