Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by consistent patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Its etiology is multifactorial, involving genetic, neuroanatomical, and environmental components. This article discusses the challenges individuals with ADHD face, particularly as they relate to hyperactivity and impulsivity symptoms, and the strategies employed to manage these symptoms, emphasizing the role of environmental modifications and fidget tools. Genetic predispositions alongside prenatal and early childhood risk factors are acknowledged, emphasizing that ADHD cannot be entirely prevented. Nonetheless, certain precautionary measures focusing on prenatal care and minimizing exposure to environmental toxins might mitigate some risk factors. The article elucidates that while comprehensive management strategies cannot prevent ADHD, they are essential to improve outcomes for those affected. It stresses the need for individualized treatment plans and a supportive network, which are vital for successful management of ADHD symptoms.
