India’s Transport and Transit Projects in Myanmar

Abstract

The following write-up is about the four most important connectivity projects in Myanmar and beyond for which India has assisted. Despite a number of bottlenecks, the two of the projects are completed, two of them are yet to be completed. Anti-government forces operating in the ethnic minority inhabited areas are significantly slowing down the pace of progress of the projects.
